Ameila (Dolly) Marrazzo

Amelia "Dolly" Marrazzo, 99, formerly of Providence Place, Pottsville, died Thursday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Born in Saint Clair, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Mary Buttermon Quirin.

Amelia was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. 

She attended Saint Clair schools and was formerly the proud owner of the "Dolly Marrazzo Dance Studio," where she taught dance instruction to countless area children in the Pottsville and surrounding areas for more than 40 years. 

Dolly touched so many people's lives and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her, especially her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, James P. Marrazzo; brother, Philip Quirin Jr.

She is survived by a daughter, Madalyn M. Fallon, wife of Howard Jr., Pottsville; grandson, Darren P. Fallon, husband of Candice, Mount Joy; granddaughter, Patricia A. Aslan, wife of Dani, Coopersburg; great-granddaughter, Danielle F. Aslan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Church, Pottsville, celebrated by Monsignor Edward O'Connor. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass in the chapel, which is located in the lower level of the church. Private interment will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901, or St. Patrick Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
