Barbara A. (Pothering) Siminitis

Barbara A. Siminitis, 84, of Llewellyn, died Sunday morning surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home. 

Born September 19, 1932, in Llewellyn, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Swanter) Pothering.

She was a 1950 Graduate of the former Branch Twp. High School and a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Minersville.  She was also the Girl Scout Leader for Troop #26, Llewellyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Pothering.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughters, Lynn Berg, Robesonia and Barbara Chambers, Schuylkill Haven; sisters Jean Quirk, Newark Del. and Sharon Houghton, Minersville.  She is also survived by a grandson Stephen Sinko and a great grandson Jaiden Sinko; and several nieces and nephews.

As per Barbara's wishes, Funeral Services will be private.  Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market St. Pottsville PA 17901 has been entrusted with arrangements.
