Elizabeth M. (Ketrick) Murgido

Elizabeth M. (Ketrick) Murgido, 91, formerly of Palo Alto, entered into eternal rest Wednesday evening at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown.

Born July 17, 1925 in St. Clair, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Setlock) Ketrick.

Elizabeth attended the former St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School, St. Clair and was a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and a member of the Sacred Heart Society.  She was a current member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.  She was employed by the former Post Cleaners, Pottsville and a member of the East End Hose Co. Auxiliary, Palo Alto.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leo Murgido (2005); brothers John and Joseph Ketrick; and a sister Veronica Zeigler.

She is survived by a son Dominic Murgido, Myerstown; a daughter Frances Caruano wife of Stephen, Schnecksville; grandchildren, Jennifer Caruano, Joseph Caruano, John Caruano husband of Janelle, and Amanda Morin wife of Karl; and great grandchildren William Leo Morin, Lia Kathryn Caruano and Ty Michael Caruano.  She is also survived by a niece and several nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM Tuesday at St. Patrick RC Church, Pottsville.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 9AM to 10AM at the Chapel of St. Patrick RC Church.  Msgr. Edward O’Connor and Msgr. Robert Wargo will be co-celebrating.  There will not be any calling hours Monday evening.  Interment will be in St. John the Baptist RC Cemetery, Pottsville.  Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
