Ella M. (Thomas) Oldt

Ella M. Thomas Oldt, 88, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away July 18 at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born Aug. 8, 1926, in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Catherine Colosimo Thomas.

She attended Pottsville schools and graduated from Pottsville High School in 1945.

Ella was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven.

She was secretary at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, before getting married to the love of her life, John. She enjoyed cooking and baking, needle work and crafts. She was a member of the craft class of United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville, where she enjoyed making candy and taking part in the Christmas bazaar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John R. Oldt.

She is survived by daughters, Darryl Oldt, Petersburg, Va., and Adrienne Feeley and her husband, Bill, Glenolden; two grandchildren, Laurel and Cassandra Feeley, both of Glenolden; a great-grandchild, Kayleigh; three brothers Roy, Warren and Robert Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace EC Church, 15 Earl Stoyer Road, Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Ted Rathman officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
