Evelyn E. (Yocum) Hawley

Evelyn E. Hawley, 99, formerly of Pottsville entered into eternal rest Thursday morning at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. 

Born March 27, 1916 in Reading she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Anna Huyett.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and was last employed at Peek-A- Pooh, Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Edward Hawley who died November 18, 1972; a sisters Doris Althouse, Hester Orth and Gertrude Foltz; and a great grandson Kevin Stewart.

She is survived by a daughter Nancy wife of Alex Stewart, Pottsville; three grandchildren Nancy Ellen Kimmel, Pottsville; Cindie Vidal wife of Bobby, Pottsville and Kevin Stewart husband of Elizabeth, Palo Alto; 8 great grandchildren Greg Stevenson, Brad Stevenson, Heather Stevenson all of Pottsville; Nicole Kimmel, Pottsville; Eric Kimmel, Harrisburg; April Kimmel, Pottsville; Brian Stewart, Allentown; Amanda Stewart, Palo Alto; and Patrick Weins, Pottsville.  14 great-great grandchildren, Gregory, Matthew, Noah and Faith Stevenson Stevenson; Gracie-Ann Holley; Kameron Weins; Luke Kimmel; Sophia Mille; Prince and Amira McFarland; Grayson Kimmel; and Anthony, Sophia and Robert Rulavage. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 21 at 10AM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville with Rev. Harold Hand, Off.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM and again Tuesday morning from 9AM until of time service at 10AM.  Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.  Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
