Leah G. Brennan

Leah G. Brennan, 94, Pottsville, died Thursday morning at Manor Care Health Services, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Harriet E. Bensinger and R. Earl Philips. 

She was a 1939 graduate of Pottsville High School.  Until her retirement, she was employed for 27 years in the Gift Shop of the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond H. Brennan in 2007 to whom she was married to for 65 years; a daughter Carol Ann Reck; and sisters Martha Scheel, Ruth Meisner, and Jean Howell.

She is survived by a daughter Patricia L. Eisenhower wife of Richard, Pottsville; and a granddaughter Lori Rosenblatt wife of Mark, Cranbury,NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 22 at 11AM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home.  Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6PM to 8PM and Saturday morning from 10AM until time of service.  Interment will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.  The family would prefer donations made to Ruth Steinert SPCA 18 Wertz Dr. Pine Grove PA 17963.   Please visit SchlitzerAllenPugh.com to leave a condolence for the Brennan family.
