MaryJane (Brady) Reed

Mary Jane Reed, 73, Pottsville, entered into eternal rest Saturday at Lancaster General Hospital. 

Born March 28, 1943, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late James and Genevieve (Bergan) Brady.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Brady. 

Mary Jane was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School; a member of St. Claire of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair; and a life member of the Phoenix Fire Co. Auxiliary.  She was last employed with Child Development Inc. as a care worker.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and also traveling to craft shows.

She is survived by her husband Walter A. Reed, Jr., Pottsville; sons Walter A. Reed III, husband of Dora; and Richard James Reed, husband of Alison Coull.  She is also survived by two grandsons, Andrew Coull and Ethan Reed; and a granddaughter Gwyn Reed; two brothers James and Francis “Frank” Brady; and several nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 7PM Thursday at St. Claire of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair, Msgr.
