Peter John LaBarbera

Peter John LaBarbera, 70, of Pottsville, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Pottsville, July 21, 1946, he was the son of the late Joseph and Nancy (Giovinco) LaBarbera.

Peter was a graduate of Pottsville High School, from the class of 1965. He loved his family and the Beatles. He was always very interested in politics. He enjoyed photography, music, good movies, and was a fan of classic cars. He always had an interest in history, especially World War II weekends in Reading.

He trusted Jesus Christ as his savior in 1975 and was a strong faithful witness for Christ for the rest of his life.

Peter married the love of his life, Gail (Gliem) LaBarbera in May 1, 1971.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: son, Peter LaBarbera, husband of Andrea; daughter, Amanda Wachter, wife of Nick; grandson, Harrison; brothers, John LaBarbera, and Joseph LaBarbera, partner of Russ McClellan; nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, at 11:00 AM, from Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Family and friends may visit Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Ott. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
