Russell F Kosta

Russell F. Kosta, 81, of Pottsville passed away Sunday surrounded by his loving family at HCR ManorCare, Pottsville.

Born in New York, NY, July 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Gerald and Catherine (Connelly) Kosta.

He was a member of St. Patrick RC Church, Rotary Club, and Schuylkill County Club, and the former Pottsville Club. He was the owner and past President of the Aetna Warehousing Corp.

Russell proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eileen E. (Greene) Kosta; daughters, Karen Piccioni wife of Henry R., Schuylkill Haven; Kathleen M. Brennan wife of Shawn, Port Carbon; Donna J. Bydlon wife of Bernard, Whitehall PA; nine grandchildren, Joshua M. Zeman, Charissa M. Zeman, Dominic F. Piccioni, Whitney N. Brennan, Shawn P. Brennan, Aiden M. Brennan, Connor B. Bydlon, Madison T. Bydlon, and Zachary J. Bydlon; brother, Richard G. Kosta and his wife Joanne, Groton, CT; and their son Richard W. Kosta, Mystic, CT; and a cousin, Peter Campfield, Fl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at St. Patrick RC Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:30am at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Interment will be held on Thursday, at 11am in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. The funeral processional will leave from the funeral home at 10am.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial donations to be made to The American Cancer Society, 101 W. Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931.
