Teresa "Terry" C. (Wojcik) O'Brien

Teresa “Terry” C. O’Brien, 78, of Pottsville entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest.

Born September 25, 1937, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late John J. I and Stella Ostrosky Wojcik.

Terry was a member of the Church of St. Patrick, Pottsville and a former member of Mary Queen of Peace, Pottsville. She was a Pottsville Area High School graduate.

She was last employed by Hallmark Shop at Fairlane Village Mall. Terry enjoyed playing Candy Crush, Bingo, going to the Casinos with her family and friends, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” J. O’Brien, on October 12, 2000; daughter, Susan O’Brien; brothers, John J. II and Cyril Wojcik.

She is survived by daughters, Colleen M., wife of James P. Watkins; Joan M. O’Brien, companion Scott Bitterman; Teresa Ann O’Brien, Beth A., wife of Leroy K. Boyer; eight grandchildren, James R. Watkins, Amanda K. Spofford, Tsgt. Samantha Wood, Victoria A. Moyer, Tyler J. Boyer, Jacob R. Moyer, Austin N. Boyer, Erin E. Boyer; three great-grandchildren, Addison Watkins; Kasey and Tobias Spofford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 728 North Centre Street, Pottsville, with Rev. Eric R. Arnout officiating. Family and friends may call Saturday from 9a.m.-11a.m. at the church.  Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to National MS Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
