Thomas J. Curran

Thomas                J. Curran, 81, of Pottsville died Wednesday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Medical Center- Cedar Crest. 

Born September 12, 1934, he was the son of the late Eugene J. and Loretta A. (Huth) Curran.

He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War era.  He was retired from the D.G. Yuengling Brewery, where he worked as a warehouse man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother John; a sister Anne Curran; and nephews Mark Curran, Kevin Curran, and Adam Joulwain.

Thomas is survived by brothers, Gerald G. Curran, husband of Peggy, Broomall, PA; and Eugene J. Curran, husband of Arlene, Pottsville.  He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral Services will be held 11:30AM Saturday at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville.  Visitation will be held from 10AM until time of service.  Interment will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.  The family would prefer donations be made in Tom’s memory to the Pottsville Free Public Library 215 west Market St. Pottsville PA 17901.
