Eugene M. Trabosh

Eugene M. Trabosh (Gene), 81, St. Clair, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest after an unexpected and brief illness.

He was the son of the late Frank S. and Margaret "Kitty" (McHale) Trabosh. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra in 2001 with whom he'd been married 40 years.

He was a graduate of Pottsville High School and proudly served in the US Navy.  He was a current member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. He was also a member of the former St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and St Casimir Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair. He served as a lector at the churches where he was a member. He was also a member of the men of the Sacred Heart.

Gene retired from the US Postal Service in Schuylkill County after more than 20 years of service.

He is survived by his daughters Michelle, Lancaster; Debbie, West Palm Beach, Fl.; Lisa Brinich (Denny Sites), Pottsville; and Christy Bicking (Harry), Langhorne, PA.  Known as "Pappy," Gene's legacy will live on through granddaughters Elizabeth, Haley, Olivia, Sienna, Macey, Emily, Julia, and Lexi.  He is also survived a brother John, Oregon; a sister in law Janice Chaplick, Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews and his beloved animals Beau, Kitty, Maggie, Manny, and Bobbie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Tuesday July 25 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.  Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday morning from 9 AM until the time of Mass at Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church.  Interment will be held in St. Joseph RC Cemetery Pottsville.

 As Gene was an avid animal lover, in lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to The Hillside SPCA 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville PA 17901 in Gene's memory.
