Andrejs Billerts, 78, a resident of Rush Township, Tamaqua, passed away peacefully in his home on June 20th, 2026.

Andrejs was born in Erlangen, Germany on September 26, 1947, a son of the late Karl and Anne (Sene) Billerts.

He moved to the Tamaqua area several years ago, relocating from Madison, New Jersey after his retirement.

While living in New Jersey, he was employed at the Lamp Shop in Summit, where he was a craftsman working on high end and unique merchandise. His ability to work on complex and interesting items continued into his retirement.

He is survived by his brother, Karl Billerts of New Jersey, along with several close local friends and an extended family in Canada and overseas in Latvia.

A celebration of Anrejs' life will be held a later date a time to be announced by his family and in accordance with Karl's wishes, private services were provided by the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home in Pottsville.
