Barbara "Scott" (Hughes) Forney, 63, died Sunday evening at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 7, 1951, in Hershey, she was the daughter of Barbara (Fors) Gleim, Hummelstown, PA and the late Richard "Joe" Gleim, Sr.  Barbara was a 1969 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Hummelstown, PA.

Barbara was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Pottsville.   Prior to her illness, she was active in St. John's CYO where she coached Cheerleading and Volleyball.  She also was the score keeper for the Nativity Girls' Softball Team.

In addition to her mother, Barbara is survived by her husband of 42 years, George D. Forney, Pottsville; sons Brian Forney, husband of Abby, Schuylkill Haven; Scott Forney and his fiancée, Ashley Felker, Pottsville; daughters Jennifer Daubert, wife of Jay, Pottsville; Michelle Heenan, wife of Tom, Pottsville; and Jodie Oswald, wife of Jeremy, Middleport.  She is also survived by grandchildren; Ty, Hayden, and Jackson Daubert, Pottsville; Samantha Heenan, Pottsville; Chase, Austin and Colton Oswald, Middleport; Elly and Emery Forney, Schuylkill Haven; and Madison Thompson, Pottsville.  Additionally, she is survived by a brother, Rick Gleim, LaPorte, Indiana, nieces and a nephew.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home and again Friday morning from 9-10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church , Pottsville.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church with Rev. David Loeper officiating.  Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist RC Cemetery, Pottsville.
