Daniel J. Bynon, III, 78, a resident of Mahanoy City, passed away peacefully on January 122th, 2025, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital East Norwegian Street Campus in Pottsville.

Daniel was born in Buffalo, NY on July 12, 1946, a son of the late Daniel, Jr. and Lois (Brown) Bynon.

After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as an E3 until his discharge.  He was a member of the Summit Hill American Legion and the VFW.

Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, and was a member of the Bear Creed Rod and Gun Club.  He was also a member of AA, and was proud of his 17 years of sobriety.  Daniel was a life long self employed traveling salesman.

In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Danell Rhodunda and a brother, James Bynon.

He is survived by his three daughters, Cynthia Kantner, Hazle Township; Tammy Bynon, Deer Lake and Amber Bynon of Pottsville, along with 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  A brother, Robert Bynon and a sister Peggy Kassak survive along with nieces and nephews.

As per Daniels wishes, he will be laid to rest at sea in the near future.
