David R. Benning, 65, a resident of Pottsville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 18th, 2024.   David was born in Camden, NJ on March 31, 1959.

He was a talented welder, last working in metal fabrication.

David was preceded in death by his step father, Jerry Alsieux, and by a grandson, Daniel Pierson.

Surviving is his mother, Shirley Alsieux, and his wife of 35 years, Sherry (Marcovitch) Benning.   He is also survived by his children, Melissa Pierson (Ryan); Samuel Benning (Bree); Brian Benning (Nicole) and Jozef Widuch (Agata).

Davids legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Zoey, Travis (Samantha),Damien, Angel, Braedon, Peyton, Cooper and Parker.

He is also survived by his siblings, Julie and her husband Chuck, Debbie and her husband John and Duane and his wife Marsha, along with nieces and nephews.   David also leaves behind his faithful companion, Skippy.

In honoring David's wishes, private services will be held by his family.
