Doris M. Eiler, 77, of Pottsville went to meet the Lord Saturday morning.

Born October 2, 1938 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Raymond J. Freiler, Sr. and the late Doris M. (Tierney) Freiler.

She was a graduate of Minersville High School and an active member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Pottsville.  She was last employed in the Pre-Sales Division of Alcoa.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband the late Francis S. Eiler.

She is survived by a son Brian L. Eiler and his wife LouAnne, Auburn; a daughter, Amber L. Misstishin, Pottsville; a brother Raymond J. "Joe" Freiler, Jr., Yucaipa, CA; grandchildren Grace K. Armstrong and her husband Peter J., Phoenixville; Claire M. Eiler, Phoenixville; and Kenneth S. Eiler, Denver CO;  and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, Pottsville with Rev. David Loeper, Off.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.  There will not be any calling hours Thursday evening.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Cemetery, Minersville.  In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made in Doris' memory to St. John the Baptist RC Church.  Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
