Francis J. Dehner, 82, of Pottsville, died Tuesday morning with his loving family by his side.

Born January 6, 1932 in Pottsville he was the son of the late Catherine Dehner.

Francis was a former member of Saint Patrick's RC, Pottsville. He was the owner of the former Dehner's Archery and was an avid hunter. Francis belonged to multiple clubs including the Stag Archery Club and Steel Workers Union. He earned numerous Pennsylvania State Championships in Archery.

In addition to his mother, Francis is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kandas and a great granddaughter, Kelsey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Hughes Dehner, Pottsville, sons, John F. Dehner and his wife Barbara, North Carolina; David R. Dehner and his wife Barbara, Lake Wynonah; daughter, Virginia Ebert and her husband Paul, Pottsville; a sister MaryAnn Palek, Shenadoah six grandchildren, Kaylee, Paul, Sherry Ann, John, Amber, and Amy ; great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Francis is also survived by his four-legged friend, Schultz.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
