Gerald G. "Jerry" Yonchuk, 64, of Pottsville, died Sunday at his home.

Born January 18, 1950 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Walter and Evelyn (Kaiser) Yonchuk.

He was employed as a custodian at Cressona Knit, Cressona and previously worked at the Schuylkill County Court House.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, RoseAnn (Messner); his beloved and faithful companion, Pixie; a brother Walter Yonchuk husband of Carolyn, Port Carbon; brother-in-law Jack Messner husband of Aggie, Pottsville; niece Kristen wife of Rob Krusnoski and their son PJ; nephews Jason Yonchuk; Michael Messner husband of Maria and their daughter Addison; and Mark Messner husband of Krystle.

Graveside Services will be held 11 AM Friday September 26, 2014 at St. John the Baptist RC Cemetery, Pottsville.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville.  The family would prefer donations made to Hillside SPCA 51 SPCA Road Pottsville PA 17901
