Henry J. "Junior" Ryan, Jr., 73, of Orwigsburg entered into eternal rest Saturday morning at Orwigsburg Center.

Born in Pottsville November 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Henry J. Ryan, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Davenport) Ryan.

He retired in 2002 from the former Argo Mills, Schuylkill Haven.  He was an avid Notre Dame fan and loved watching the Fighting Irish.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Henry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Evans) Ryan, Orwigsburg; sons Henry J. Ryan III and Steven M. Ryan, both of Orwigsburg; daughter Alicia Marie Vincent wife of Charles, Orwigsburg; grandchildren Matthew, Ethan, Liam and Da'Shawna Vincent, Orwigsburg; Tyler and Erin Ryan, MarLin; Aidan Ryan, Minersville; Allison Oxenrider, Minersville, and Mariah Ryan, Shamokin; and a great granddaughter, Arabella Ryan, MarLin.  He is also survived by a brother Francis Ryan, Pottsville; a sister Margaret Hood, Pottsville; father-in-law Charles H. Evans and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday evening at 8PM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 6PM until time of service.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Please visit www.schlitzerallenpugh.com to leave a condolence for the Ryan family.
