James M. Cook, 61, of Pottsville, passed away on July 19, 2022, at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Pottsville on November 2, 1960, he was a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Russel) Cook.

James was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Phila. Sixers, Phila. Eagles, Phila. Phillies, and Phila. Flyers. He enjoyed spending time fishing and going to the casino. He was employed by Precision Air, Pottsville, and was a member of the Salvation Army Pottsville Corps.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a daughter, Keri Cook.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Crystal R. (Smith) Cook; son, James Joseph Culley; daughter, Brandy Cole; stepchildren, Crystal Setlock, Michael Setlock, Emily Setlock, and John Smith; 13 grandchildren; brother, Robert Cook; sister, Susan DelMonica; several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at Schlitzer-Allen Pugh Funeral home 515 W. Market St. Pottsville, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Lt. Betty Varrett officiating. A viewing will be held on that morning, prior to services, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
