Obituary

Jeffrey William Tarman, 59, of Pottsville, passed away on June 25th, 2025.

He was born on June 3rd, 1966, to Elizabeth Jane Lohr and the late William Tarman. Growing up, he kept them busy with his mischievous nature and curiosity for life.

Riding bikes around with neighborhood friends or getting a warning for retrieving long-lost footballs and frisbees from the roof of an abandoned building, Jeff and his brother, Christian, were known to get into the kind of trouble that only brothers can find themselves in.

He was a 1984 graduate of Bishop McCort High School.

Jeff was proud to get his CDL and drove his truck from coast to coast.

In 2003, Jeff was beginning to make a life for himself in Wyoming when he met his wife, Sharon, and her four children. Instantly charming them with his goofy nature and kind soul. Sometimes you find your family later on in life, and without hesitation, Jeff raised and loved Sharon's 4 children like they were his own. He was the missing piece that completed their puzzle.

Not one to shy away from attention, you could always spot Jeff sporting a yellow ducky shirt and bright yellow shoes. He loved making everyone laugh with dad jokes and silly jingles he would write on the spot.

Jeff enjoyed sipping whiskey in his backyard watching the stars and moon while he serenaded Sharon with goofy songs. Though he loved billy goats and yellow ducks, his heart will always belong to his "doggy doodle" and best friend, Leo. They are now reunited.

Jeff leaves behind his love and memories with his wife, Sharon; his children, Vanessa, Francisco, Samantha, & Justin; his grandchildren, Izzy and Nova; his mother, Janey; and his brother, Christian.

He will continue to protect his family until they meet again.

"Forever and a day, my honey bunny doodle pie!"

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Pottsville, is assisting Jeffrey's family during their time of need.
