Joann E. Simpson. 62, Pottsville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center- South.

Born January 1, 1953 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Agnes (Grish) Zacko.

She attended Pottsville High School and was a member of the former St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair.

She is survived by a son John Simpson, Pottsville; daughter Rachel Simpson, Orwigsburg and her best friend and companion Ron "Butch" Gradwell, Pottsville.  She is also survived by 6 grandchildren Ricky Stevenosky, Trey Harrison, Elizabeth Stevenosky, Edward Stevenosky, Paige Simpson and Cameron Simpson; and one great grandson.

Graveside Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, August, 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.  In accordance to Joann's wishes the family would ask that memorial donations be made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville PA 17901.  Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville has been entrusted with arrangements.
