John "Jack" H. Davis, 80, passed away Friday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. Born in Pottsville on September 7, 1940, he was a son of the late Harold F. and Rita (Yeastedt) Davis. He was a 1959 class graduate from Nativity BVM. Jack proudly served his county, serving in the United States Army. He was a life member of Greenwood Hill Fire Co.

Jack was a bus driver for several years for the former Capitol Bus Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet "Pat" P. (Mohl) Davis and sister, Barbara Ann Wessner. He is survived by his son, John H. Davis Jr.; granddaughter, Natasha Vawn Davis; three grandchildren, brother, George; and sister, Barbara Ann Wessner. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
