Marie A. (Snyder) Melinchok, 91, formerly of Pottsville, passed away Monday morning at Infinity Hospice Care, Las Vegas, NV.

Born in Pottsville on July 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Scheibelhut) Snyder.

She was formerly a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, prior to relocating to Nevada.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband Michael Melinchok.

Marie is survived by her son, Charles M. Melinchok, Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Jean Stidham, Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren, Kelly Stidham Schwarz, Kevin Stidham, Nicholas Melinchok, Joseph Melinchok; three great grandsons, Christopher Schwarz, Ryan Schwarz, and Blake Stidham; a sister, Elizabeth (Snyder) Vaille, Phoenixville, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, with Rev. David Loeper officiating. Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 6 ^th & W. Market Sts., Pottsville. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
