Mary A. Cullen, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at Providence Place, Pottsville.

She was born in Palo Alto on September 22, 1929, to the late Philip and Mary (Newton) McGeoy. She was a graduate of St Stephen's High School in Port Carbon, Class of 1947.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, and sharing a glass of wine with her friends. She was a member of St. Patrick RC Church, Pottsville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years ,Walter, who passed away in 2008.

She is survived by her three children, John "Jack" Cullen husband of Jill, Minersville, PA; Marikay wife of Mark Itter, Clermont, FL; Nancy wife of Guy Fidler, Orwigsburg, PA; grandchildren Emily Fidler Repka, Ryan Cady, Alison, Mackenzie, Jason, and Jenna Cullen, cousin Joan Dewald, and a niece and two nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville with Deacon John Setlock officiating. Family and friends may call from 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial donations to be made to Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.

The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Place and Compassus Hospice for all of their kindness during Mary's stay.
