Maryann Helman, 55, of Seltzer passed away Sunday at the Orwigsburg Center Nursing Home peacefully with her family at her side.

Born in Pottsville, January 24, 1959, she was the daughter of Edward and Joan Burnett Helman, Seltzer.

She attended and graduated from Pottsville High School.

Maryann worked at Alexander's Dept. Store, New York and more recently at Goodwill Industries, Cressona. She also volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital.

Maryann's short film career included an appearance as an extra in the film The Molly Maguires.

She was a member of St. Michaels the Archangel RC Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Karen Pretti and her husband Charlie of Seltzer and Regina Summers and her husband William of Middletown.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 W. Market St., Pottsville have been entrusted with the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the donor's charity of choice.
