Melanie A. Johnson, 61, St. Clair, died Monday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Born March 30, 1955 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eleanor (Sharockman) Weist.

She was employed as a crossing guard for St. Clair School District.

She is survived by a son, Gilbert Johnson, Jr, Pottsville and a daughter Jennifer Wychunas, St. Clair; brothers Thomas and Melvin Weist;  grandchildren Shaun and Zack Johnson and Kaylee and Heidi Wychunas.
