Mildred M. Mengel, 78, Pottsville entered into eternal rest Tuesday evening March 16, 2021, at her residence.

Born July 29, 1942, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Catherine (Williams) Maroukis.

She was a Graduate of Pottsville High School and a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic.  She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos with her friends.  She worked at Giant Foods as a cashier for 16 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother George Maroukis; and sisters Anna Santai and Rose Marie Maroukis.

Mildred is survived by her husband Carl R. Mengel; son James Mengel, daughters Catherine Lukach and Lynn Memke; grandchildren Nicole Lukach, Joseph Lukach, Natalie Smith, Joshua Senkus, and Javon M. Memke; and great grandchildren Cole Lukach, Alexander Chillemi, Angelo Chillemi, Rosalia Chillemi, and Liam Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, March 24 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville PA 17901.  Interment will be held on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven.  The family would prefer contributions to St. Patrick's Memorial Fund in memory of Mildred.
