Ray R. Hoffman, 89, a resident of Orwigsburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024. Ray was born in Landingville on October 18, 1935, a son of the late Dewey and Minnie (Ritter) Hoffman. He was drafted into the United States Army and served as a Staff Sgt., completing a tour of duty overseas in Germany. He worked for and was retired from Reading Industries, a local manufacturer of copper tubing. Ray was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Orwigsburg, and loved to spend time with his family. He and his late wife, Dorothy, enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to visit all of the lower 48 states. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Palmer) Hoffman in 2013, and by four brothers and a sister. Surviving are his two daughters, Susan, wife of Eugene Morgan of Schnecksville and Betsy Green of New Tripoli. Two grandchildren, Alexander Green and Shannon Green also survive along with many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Bible Baptist Church, 511 Farmington Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031 at 11 AM on February 8, 2025.
