Regina J. "Jeanne" Yanek, 79, of Mar Lin passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services, Pottsville.

Born August 28, 1936, Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late William A. Sr. and Isabel Marazas Walsh.

Jeanne was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Minersville. Jeanne was a graduate of Minersville High School.  She was also past member of the mother's booster club for Pottsville High School. She worked several years in the garment industry prior to opening Bob Yanek & Sons Service Center, Inc., Pottsville with her husband, Robert J. Sr., and two sons Robert J. Jr., and Randy W. Yanek.

Jeanne was a survivor of multiple battles with cancer, never letting it defeat her.  Being diagnosed five times, surviving each cancer since the 1970's, this taught her children strength and perseverance.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Yanek, Sr. on August 19, 1998 and brothers, William A. Walsh, Jr. and Robert W. Walsh.

She is survived by sons, Randy W., husband of Lisa H. Yanek and Robert J. "Bob" Jr., husband of Lisa Yanek; grandchildren, Amanda and Luke Yanek; nephew, William A. "Billy" Walsh III, and nieces, Jessica McGrath and Jennifer Walsh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 10, 2016 at 11AM at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 538 Sunbury St., Minersville; with Rev. Edward B. Connolly officiating. Family and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30AM-10:30AM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Interment will be held in Mount Peace Cemetery, Minersville.
