Ricardo "Ric" John Marks passed away quietly at his home on Friday June 5, 2026 leaving a legacy of strength, courage, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. A proud lifelong resident of the area, Ric graduated from Minersville High School in 1968 and spent his life giving back to the places and people he loved.

Ric was a mechanic at heart who could fix anything from broken engines and complex wiring, carburetors and electronics. He possessed a vast knowledge on countless subjects; if he did not know the answer to a problem, he would tirelessly research it until he found a solution. He brought that same patience and steady problem-solving to every aspect of his life.

His deep commitment to service was evident through being a dedicated Cub Master leading the next generation, and his active membership of both the North Ward and Summit Station House. Though initially skeptical about moving to the Lake Wynonah community, Ric quickly embraced it, realizing it was a place to build deep relationships and plant lasting roots.

Above all, Ric was a devoted family man. He and his beloved wife, Kathy, built a beautiful life filled with deep friendships and family. Ric was a mainstay at his grandchildren's events, famously loving to watch Frankie, Stella, and Ricky play sports and cheer. He was immensely proud of his grandson Brody's football achievements and will be watching from above to guard Brody throughout his career as a police officer.

When he wasn’t helping others or spending time with family, Ric pursued his true passion: hitting the open road. An avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, many of his happiest moments were spent with the wind in his face, completely free on two wheels, riding alongside his son and his closest buddies. Ric did not need grand gestures to show he cared; his love was felt in the quiet, steady, and protective things he did every day to ensure his family was safe and happy.

Survivors: Wife Kathleen Ann Wiltraut, Daughter Luchana Baddick, husband Paul Baddick, Son Ricardo J Marks, Jr, wife Rhiannon (Kovacs) Marks, grandchildren Brody and Francesca Baddick, Stella and Ricardo J Marks, III, Sister-in-Law, Patricia McCaul, Mother-in-Law, Loretta Wiltraut, Step-Daughter Jocelyn Hughes, husband Christopher Hughes and three step granddaughters.

Ric was predeceased by his mother Constance (McCaul) Marks, his father Harold J Marks, Sr, brother Robert J McCaul, and Harold J Marks, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Ric's honor on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at Lake Wynonah community lodge. Check in at the front gate, 406 Navajo Dr, Auburn, PA 17922. Doors open at 2:00 pm and service will begin at 2:30 pm.

In leu of flowers, a donation in Ric’s name to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
