Obituary

Rickey "Rick" L. Willier, 57, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday evening at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 8, 1957 in Danville, he was the son of the late Francis F. and Martha (Heim) Willier.

Raised in Pitman, Rick graduated from Tri-Valley High school in 1975 and began working in the banking industry. He worked as bank manager at various local banks in Schuylkill County and was well known in the Schuylkill County Banking Community. Rick was currently serving as the bank manager at Riverview Bank, Cressona.

As a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville, Rick served as an Elder on the Session and was a member of the choir. He would always help decorate the church for holidays and various events.

Rick was a past member of both the Pottsville and Schuylkill Haven Lions Club. He served on the Board of Directors of the Schuylkill County Society for Crippled Children, Pottsville, and on the Board of Directors of the Magdeburg International Scholastic Program, Inc., Hegins, PA.
Rick enjoyed watching Jeopardy, cooking, gardening, and reading but especially enjoyed spending time with his family that he loved and cherished.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Kimberly (Kantner) Willier; two loving sons, Jonathan and his wife, Corrina of Ephrata, and Adam and his wife, Vickie of Ephrata; his grandson, Paxton, who was the light of his life; a brother, Dale and his wife, Debra Willier of Pitman, several nieces and nephews, his in laws, Charles and Lois Kantner, Schuylkill Haven.

A Celebration of Rick's Life will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at United Presbyterian Church, 214 Mahantongo Street, Pottsville with the Reverend Jeff Colarossi and Reverend Bruce Willier, Rick's Uncle, officiating. Interment will be in Zion's Evangelical Congregational Church Cemetery, Pitman.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday evening at the United Presbyterian Church from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM till the time of the service.
