Roger L. Berkheiser, II, 62, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home.

Born in Pottsville on January 4, 1959, he was a son of the late Roger L. Berkheiser, I and the late Shirley Mae (Mohl) Berkheiser.

Roger was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1976. He was a lifelong supporter of their football team, the Crimson Tide. He enjoyed writing poetry and was an avid sports fan. The Philadelphia Flyers, St. Louis Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings were a few of his favorite teams.

Left to cherish his memory are siblings, Donna J. Berkheiser, Karen M. Corby, James J. Berkheiser and wife, Margaret, Susan B. Honicker and husband, Michael, Lorraine E. Scinto and husband, Rocco and Shirley A. Brennan and husband, Shawn; nieces and nephews, Mallory N. Harig, Paul R. Corby, Kevin J. and Kaylee G. Berkheiser and Zachary R. and Jacqueline D. Brennan; and 3 great nephews and 1 great niece.

Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. Interment will follow in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, or American Cancer Society.
