Thelma A. (Lowthert) Salle, 95, of Pottsville, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Providence Place, Pottsville.

Born to the late Clarence L. and Anna (Reigle) Lowthert on November 19, 1922, she was a lifelong resident of Pottsville.

Thelma graduated from Pottsville High School in 1940. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She belonged to the United Methodist Women, Friendly Circle and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Salle, brother, Melvin Lowthert, and sisters, Beatrice Klitsch and Lorraine Toomey.

She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville, with Pastor Jack Murray officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside, Pottsville.
