Alice R. Eisenhart, 87, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully October 25th at her home.
Alice was born in Pottsville on June 24, 1936, a daughter of the late William and Juanita (Sanders) Wingert . She was a graduate of the Pottsville High School.
Alice worked as a clerk for Raudenbush bakery, but also for many years as a CNA at Manor Care in Pottsville. Her compassion for those she cared for was evident not only in her work ethic, but in her faith, as she was a long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville.
When not working, Alice enjoyed listening to Pottsville High football games on the radio, watching TV gameshows, assembling jigsaw puzzles, listening to country as well as polka music and playing bingo and slots. She loved angels and the Christmas season.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Eisenhart in 1976, and by brothers, William Wingert Jr. and Bud Sanders and sister Jane Diebert.
Alice is survived by her seven children, Charles Eisenhart, and his wife Margaret; William Eisenhart; Sharon, wife of Dave Fessler; Norman Eisenhart; Keith Eisenhart and his significant other, Kim Martino; Crystal Eisenhart and fiancée Dennis Fredericks; and Jim Eisenhart and his wife Maria. She is also survived by two sisters, Sara, wife of Jerry Stephens and Grace Schock; and a brother Jim Wingert and his wife Nancy.
Alices' memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Kyle, Charles, Cory, David, Amanda, Kimberly, Justin, Charlie, Nicole, Brady and Alexa, and her five great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville on Thursday, November 2 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chris Rothharpt. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:00 AM till the time of the service at the funeral home. Alice will be laid to rest at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, immediately following the service.
