Edward T. Zuppert, 73, of Cressona, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born in Pottsville, on March 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Margaret (Doolin) Zuppert.
Edward graduated from Pottsville Area High School and worked as a production manager at Kaytee Products, Cressona, for over 47 years.
He was a devote member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, St. Clair and formerly Immaculate Conception Church. He was a member of the Holy Name Society for over 30 years, former President of the Schuylkill County Holy Name Society for 15 years. Edward worked the Holy Name Breakfast for Immaculate Conception and St. Clare of Assisi Church for over 30 years. For more than 20 years, Edward would say the rosary once a month on a Thursday at the Yorkville Nursing Home. He served at Immaculate Conception Church as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; daughter, Melissa Zuppert. A grandson, Caleb and a brother, Robert Zuppert
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years, JoAnn (Kolenick) Zuppert; daughter, Andrea Renee Prete and husband, Christopher, Shamokin, 7 grandchildren, Alexyss, Ambur, Ethan, Kyra, Viktoreea, Christopher and Ava, a niece and several nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market St, Pottsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 250 E. Hancock St., St. Clair. Officiating will be Revered Msgr. William F. Glosser. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
