Gerard Clark Obituary

Gerard F. Clark, 64, Pottsville, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley-East.

Born July 18, 1957 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late John L and Rita (Eagan) Clark.

He was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace RC Church, Pottsville. Gerard was last employed at the Schuylkill County Court House where he worked in the maintenance department.  Prior to the working at the Court House, he worked at the PA Steel Foundry for 26years until it’s closure then worked for 10 years at the Kutztown Steel Foundry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers John W., William, Joseph and Daniel; sisters Patricia Helterbran, Germaine Schuettler, and Maryann Clark; granddaughter Lily; and a great grandson Gavin.

Gerard is survived by his wife Cynthia (Powanda) Clark.  They were married 46 years on September 20th.  He is also survived by his children Gerard, Jr., Pottsville; Stephen husband of Bethann E., Pottsville; Gary husband of Brooke A., Temple; and Lisa wife of Eugene Argraves, Orwigsburg; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Maureen Adams, Pottsville and Kathleen Reber, Minersville; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Gerard’s Life will be held  1o’clock Tuesday, September 28 at the Pottsville Zone 337 Peacock Street Pottsville.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market St. Pottsville has been entrusted with arrangements.  Please visit schlitzerallenpugh.com to share a memory of Gerard.
