Joseph A. Gudinas

Joseph A. Gudinas, 70, a resident of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 at his home.

Joseph was born in Pottsville on January 20, 1952, a son of the late Albert and Helen (Martin) Gudinas. He was a graduate of the Pottsville high school, and was retired, having been last employed by Monarch Management, working in building maintenance. Prior to that, he worked for Argo Mills in Schuylkill Haven.

Joseph was an avid pool shooter, and was a member of the Pine Grove VFW, where he was on their pool team. He was also on the pool team of Gals in Ashland. He was a member of the Pine Grove fish and game club, and also a life member of the West End Hose Company in Pottsville. Joseph could be found hanging out at this sons gym, XTREME Fitness in St. Clair. Over the years he enjoyed vacationing and boating in Canada.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Irvin and Walter, a sister, Julia Williams and a granddaughter, Isabella.

He is survived by his fiancee, Linda Ann Wiley of Pottsville, and two children, Joseph Irvin Gudinas of St. Clair and Valerie, wife of Kyle Greene of Pottsville. He leaves to cherish his memory, his grandchildren, Siobhan Gudinas, Joseph Eoin Gudinas, Anthony Michael Gudinas, Zoe Sophia Greene, Alexia Harper Green, Miley Matthews, Delilah Mae Wiley, Kayden Connor Wiley and his little buddy, Carter Matthew Menuchak.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Albert, Ron, Andy, Charlie, Gloria Peyes, Margaret Mack and June Satterwhite, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 8PM on Monday evening, January 16th at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. A viewing will be from 6-8 PM prior to the service.
