Kathleen M. (Barone) Bound

Kathleen M. Bound, 70, Pottsville, passed away Wednesday evening at The Gardens of York Terrace, Pottsville.

Born June 1, 1948 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and May (Schneider) Barone.

Kathleen was a 1966 graduate of Pottsville Area High School where she was head Kilt; member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic; and Past President of the Catholic War Vets Post 1051. She retired from the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 where she served as the Director of Transportation. 

Kathy was affectionately known as the “craft lady” at J&D campground.  The children of the campground looked forward to their 11AM craft classes on a Saturday.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert Bound, Pottsville; sons Michael Gerace husband of Jen and his children Carolyn, Rebecca, Gabe, and Adrian of Lebanon and Todd Gerace and his son Devon, Mt. Carmel;  brother Charles S. Barone, Pottsville; and sister Gail M. Barone, Pottsville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Noon Tuesday January 8 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.  Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday 9 to 11:30 AM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home 515 West Market Street Pottsville.  Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Chapel, Hillside.  Please visit schlitzerallenpugh.com to leave a condolence for the Bound family.
