Obituary

Mary L. Anthony, 92, of  Pottsville, passed away on March 30, at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, she was born on May 9, 1930.

Mary worked in the textile industry for many years before becoming a crossing guard.  She also worked for ZRM Lamp Factory, Pottsville.

She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, for many years.   She enjoyed playing the piano and keyboard, spending time watching old movies and shows like the Family Feud and The Price is Right.  Her son, Brian, convinced her to become a Steelers fan and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Brian Anthony, and his wife, Amber, Berwick, 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur John Urban and Casimir Anthony, two daughters, Judy Urban Henry, Pelagia Jean Franklin, step son, Mark Anthony, step daughter, Jeanie Zimerofski, a sister, Edna Wenrich.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 2:00 PM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market Street, Pottsville with Pastor Chris Rotharp officiating.  Friends and family can attend a viewing from 1:00 PM till the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
