Mary L. Sterner

Mary L. Sterner, 90, a lifelong resident of Orwigsburg, passed away at her home on Friday, November 19, 2022.

Mary was born in Orwigsburg on July 12, 1932, a daughter of the late Harold and Alvena (Miller) Ryland.

She was a member of Christ Church in McKeansburg where she spent many hours as a volunteer and a member of the Circle of Friends. She loved her family, going camping, traveling, the beach, hot weather and the family dinners. Mary was retired, having been employed in the local garment industry.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles L. Sterner in 2018, and by a brother in infancy.

Mary is survived by two children, her son, Kerry and his wife Lori and her daughter, Luann, wife of Danny Boudreaux. Four grandchildren, Crystal Bubeck, wife of Erik; Kyle Sterner; Alexis Sterner and Justin Boudreaux and by one great granddaughter, Karley Bubeck. Mary is also survived by her sister, Doris wife of Bill Mantz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 10 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Christ Church in McKeansburg. A time for visitation will be from 9-10 AM, prior to the service.

Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband Charles during private family services.
